Sundays have their own tempo. No alarms. No rush. Just light through the blinds and a quiet sort of clarity. The day had no scheduled obligations yet I still felt the need to dress up. The act of dressing up brought me a sense of being anchored and held together.
I frequently wear an outfit consisting of washed black jeans and perfectly worn clothing. A clean white tee that feels soft but looks polished. My combat boots — always the grounding force, especially when I don’t have the words for how I’m feeling.
I didn’t layer much. I carried only the basic items along with a tote bag containing my current book. The practice of carrying unfinished work brings me peace of mind.
The practice of fashion journaling converts ordinary days into useful references. Although no one observes this outfit I will recall its ability to help me present myself to myself during the week's most relaxed day.
